Hi. We're Brainlabs - the world’s most innovative digital marketing agency, with a world class company culture to match. We’re absolutely crushing it in the UK and the US and are now looking for a UI Designer to join our team. If you’re keen to support us on our mission to be the best agency in the world, take a look at what we have on offer.

We’re looking for a UI designer with a curious nature, who makes decisions and solves users’ problems with great design. You’ll work closely with User Researchers, UX Designers, Insight Analysts and Developers to deliver design solutions to our clients’ user problems. And you’ll confidently present your work to everyone from colleagues to clients, from juniors to CEOs, clearly articulating what you’ve done and why, evidencing decisions with insight.

We need someone who thinks about the bigger picture - working with internal and client teams to understand technical constraints, thinking about how we deliver best value to our clients and how we deliver solutions that impact more than just a website. You’ll need to be able to demonstrate excellence in solution design and how you’ve used insight to generate ideas.

You can expect to be part of a fast growing business that really wants to push the industry forwards.

Initially, your regular tasks would include:

  • Working on UI design for anything from an A/B test, to a full redesign
  • Close collaboration with cross disciplinary team members to understand client goals and user problems
  • Ownership of UI design execution across your clients
  • Being an active member in client meetings and status calls, acting as an advocate for design and identifying opportunities to expand the design remit

You’ll be a great fit if you have some, many, or all of the following:

  • A passion to positively impact people through design, and the ability to explain how design achieves this
  • Good experience of designing interfaces across devices
  • Experience of A/B testing or continuous optimisation and iteration would be beneficial
  • Agency experience, or experience working across a number of clients and projects is key, as is the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload, meeting deadlines and sticking to budgets
  • If this can be demonstrated through a consultative approach to clients / projects that you might have worked on, that would be a real benefit.
  • Experience working on client sites or apps, with the ability to work with existing style guides and constraints and to create and define new UI patterns, designs and styles where appropriate. And, importantly, the nous to know when to push the boundaries
  • Created and maintained UI libraries and design systems and defined online style guides
  • Previous experience in e-commerce is not essential, but would be beneficial
  • A strong understanding of the wider User journey, taking in digital and offline touchpoint
